What are some good scary novels without the romance?

I want something creepy and scary. I see book covers all the time that look awesome but there is no doubt they have romance in it, and I just don't like romance at all.No sex or anything please. Minor kissing is okay, but not big passionate smooches.
Duma Key by Stephen King is a pretty creepy book, and virtually romance-free.
Also try reading the Mammoth Book of Horror, which is an anthology published once a year. I think he's on 20 or 21 now. It's a book of short horror stories,
