looking for starter info 1984 mercruiser MCM engine.took off ARCO marine "SAE J117" Can't find crossreference

I am trying to replace the starter on my 1984 Mercruiser engine, model MCM 898, serial# 6791302. I have had the starter tested as bad & am trying to buy replacement. The starter taken off is an ARCO Marine (model "SAE J117" ?) but I cannot
sierra marine parts catalog (napa auto division) lists new and rebuilt starters and other parts for your mercruiser if it is a ccw(counter clockwise ) and has a top mounted rear entry starter the part#s are as follows new 18-5907 rebuilt 18-5901,
